Common questions

Why charge per certificate rather than per month?

Because the cost is the analyst's time, and that is spent per build. A subscription would either overcharge someone shipping twice a year or push us to rush reviews to keep margin. Neither is a business we want.

What happens when my certificate expires?

The badge changes to expired and the verification page says so. Re-certifying an unchanged artifact is free, because we already have the review on file. Re-certifying a rebuilt artifact is a new review, because it is a new hash.

Do you refund a rejection?

There is nothing to refund. You are charged on issue only. A rejected build costs you the time it took to upload it, and you get the analyst's notes explaining what to fix.

Can I certify a modpack?

Not as a single unit. A pack is a list of other people's artifacts, and we would be attesting to work we did not review. Individual mods within a pack can each hold their own certificate, and Platform customers can query all of them in one call.
